Our Story

A slower way to make clothes

Earth-toned essentials designed for considered everyday living.

Two people in undyed linen walking through dry grassland

XYL STYLE began with a single tee that would not thin at the shoulders. Everything since has followed the same test: does the garment improve with use, and can we account for where it came from?

We work with two mills in northern Portugal and one hemp weaver in Piedmont. Runs are small — usually two hundred units — which lets us adjust patterns between batches rather than committing to a season of mistakes.

Dyeing is where most of a garment's water and energy is spent, so we leave what we can undyed and use low-impact pigment for the rest. Nothing ships in plastic. Seams are covered for a year, and we would rather mend a piece than sell you a replacement.

0g Plastic in our packaging

Garments ship in unbleached paper and a starch-based seal, so the unboxing is as considered as the garment inside it.

100% Certified Cotton

Responsibly sourced cotton and hemp support comfort and durability while keeping growers and dye houses accountable.

1 Year warranty on seams

Structural stitching is covered for twelve months. Send the piece back and we mend it rather than replace it.
